Take a look at this partial tracklisting from a CD of "Nice English Songs".
I don't think they sing track 11 in American schools anymore. To be fair, the Japanese does just say "I like my tiny cat". Still, I think I'll leave this one off the list of songs to be sung next year.

Katie liked this post - she could recognize the katakana letters that were in her name. Maybe her Japanese teacher should make a movie with the American students speaking Japanese. What would be the equivalent of Godzilla over there?
Depending on how the name is accented, Katie would be ケイティ or perhaps ケイティ- for a longer "ie" sound at the end.
I used Godzilla to show my kids that some things are just universal. There are something like 40 Godzilla movies here in Japan.
I don't know if there is an equivalent mutant destroyer of civilizations in the States. The City of Los Angeles? Dick Cheney?
I think a movie about Dick Cheney would be too much for anyone. Maybe we'll have to do Cloverfield.
